Partnership Disputes

A partnership is a method of business organization, and it arises when two or more parties carry business together with a view to profit. There are also various partnership structures such as limited liability partnerships or general partnerships. Partnership disputes may arise for a plethora of reasons, from simple distrust to accusations of a breach in fiduciary duty or a breach of the partnership agreement, but in all cases it is crucial to seek aid from a qualified legal professional.

Partnership disputes usually lead to claims in damages for things such as: profits, forefeiture of fees, and compensation for losses. However, partnership disputes also commonly seek injunctions to stop adverse partners from committing a specific act, or to force the adverse partners to do something. For example, a partner may seek to obtain an injunction seeking the preparation or release of certain financial reports by an adverse partner.
